Background

   I am a Wellesley resident and have been for most of my life. I graduated from Wellesley High School. I earned an undergraduate degree from University of Massachusetts and a Master's Degree from Boston College. I was an infantry sergeant in the Army Reserve.

   After graduating from college, for fifteen years, I was a special needs teacher in Cambridge. During my public school teaching years, after school, weekends and vacations, I became a real estate agent and active real estate investor.

   After leaving public school teaching, in 1985, I started FitzPatrick Wellesley as a real estate investment company. I also had an additional career as a real estate writer and teacher. I wrote for the Peckham Boston Company, Federal Research Press, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich and the National Association of Realtors®

   I was the principal writer and editor of Real Estate Investing and the Homeowner's Advisory Letter. At the time, these were the two highest circulation real estate newsletters in the country.

   Over the years, I have the opportunity to give speeches and teach seminars on real estate and personal development topics to college audiences as well as to my fellow Realtors®.

Martial Arts Master

When I said that I was a "special needs" teacher, the "special needs" of my students was that they were prison inmates who were bused to high school each morning. At this time, I started studying karate. I have now been studying for over thirty years. I am a fifth degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo Karate which qualifies me as a martial arts master.

I still do my forms and combinations every day to stay in shape. I am occasionally invited to speak at national and international martial arts tournaments and conventions.

My desire is to stay active and to always work hard. It is who I am. It may sound odd to some but I have always loved the real estate business; the properties and the people.

Over the last few years, I have noticed an emerging opportunity and a void in the luxury condominium marketing segment. There are more luxury condominiums in the $400,000 to $2 million + range than ever and zero agents specifically serving this market. Let's be frank, most agents know about and want to sell expensive single family houses. This is fine because I know about and I want to sell luxury condominiums.

Personal

   I live in a luxury condominium in Wellesley. I own a luxury vacation condominium in Osterville. I own investment condominiums in the greater Boston area. As a luxury buyer or seller, we have exactly the same real estate interests.

   I am blessed with a wonderful wife, Karen. After thirty-five years, Karen retired as an English teacher from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. She now enjoys auditing classes at Wellesley College and is a gourmet cook.
